Triple Threat: Won Kim

Synopsis: Won Kim, chef, artist, and DJ, launched Kimski—a Korean-Polish fusion restaurant attached to Maria’s Packaged Goods & Community Bar in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood—in 2016, facing immediate demand and chaos with lines out the door. While managing Kimski, he realized he was missing his passion for graffiti and began transforming Kimski’s walls into a community art space. This project grew into an informal gallery with contributions from local graffiti artists, celebrating the ephemeral beauty of street art. A multifaceted creative, Kim also DJs around Chicago and finds inspiration in art, music, and cuisine, continually seeking new challenges.
